Jason P. Cleveland

A seasoned employment law and civil litigation attorney in the Indianapolis area, Jason has practiced law since 2003. He’s handled multiple federal jury trials in the Northern and Southern District of Indiana Courts and represented clients at the EEOC, MSPB, SEAC and ICRC, as well as Indiana State Courts, local government bodies and boards.

He’s a DePauw University graduate, with a degree in Philosophy, who grew up in New Castle, Indiana. A third generation small business owner, he follows in his father’s and grandfather’s footsteps. Jason lives in Indianapolis with his wife, two daughters, and one son.

After earning his law degree at Indiana University Maurer School of Law in Bloomington, Jason spent the first seven years of his career as an attorney at Hostetter & O’Hara in Brownsburg, practicing general civil litigation before federal and state courts. At John H. Haskin & Associates (formerly Haskin & LaRue), Jason focused his practice exclusively on employment and discrimination law.

You will not meet a bigger Indianapolis Colts fanatic, with his love for Hoosier basketball ticking in as a close second. Jason also enjoys running, regularly participating in local marathons and half marathons, and joins his family in running the Drumstick Dash each year. Aside from his devotion to the Horse (and his wife and kids, of course) Jason also enjoys jamming out to live music and watching Quentin Tarantino movies.

Meghan U. Lehner

Meghan discovered her interest in employment law long before she got her law degree, inspired by her family’s long-held union ties – including her 91-year-old grandmother in the 1950s – and her mom’s experience as a small business owner. Since getting her law degree from Indiana University McKinney School of Law in 2005, she’s practiced as an attorney in Indiana and Florida.

A proud Italian-American, Meghan grew up working on her mom’s large charter boat on Long Island, New York. She graduated from Hofstra University with an English degree and played tennis and softball in college. She lives in Fishers with her husband, Dave, and sons, Robert and Joey.

Starting her career in Indianapolis, she began as an attorney at Fulk & Associates, and later joined Haskin, Lauter, LaRue & Gibbons. In 2008, Meghan moved to Florida and worked for a defense firm, before returning to Indiana to resume work at Haskin & LaRue now known as John H. Haskin & Associates.

With a focus on employment law and civil rights, Meghan represents employees in cases concerning Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, wage claims, and Due Process and First Amendment violations. She’s a frequent contributing author and has presented continuing legal education seminars and presentations in employment law and discrimination.

Meghan has over 10 years of experience representing employees in Federal Court, as well as federal administrative agencies like the EEOC and MSPB, and state agencies like SEAC. In addition to the federal courts in the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, Meghan is also admitted to the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. She’s successfully briefed and presented oral arguments on behalf of clients in the Indiana Court of Appeals, Indiana Supreme Court and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

A lover of ’80s hair bands, roller coasters, and the NY Yankees, Meghan spends her free time hanging out with her family, working out at the gym, and attending local sports events, like cheering on the Indianapolis Indians, Indy Fuel and Colts. She also loves to sample local craft beers, watch horror movies and read true crime stories.

Spenser G. Benge

A lifelong Hooser, Spenser grew up in Anderson and completed his undergraduate degree at Indiana University in Bloomington. During college, Spenser got his hands dirty with the Hamilton County Health Department, wading through swamps and exploring ditches and woods to treat for mosquitos. He is a huge Pacers and Colts fan, and one of his favorite foods is a foot-long hot dog at Indians games.

Spenser graduated cum laude from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, Class of 2016. During law school, he sat as the Executive Production Editor for the Indiana Health Law Review and published a work in that journal about combatting unlawful discrimination in health care administration. Spenser spent his first summer during law school at the Harvard Law School Center for Health Law and Policy Innovation, which fostered his passion for social justice.

Spenser found his home at Cleveland Lehner Cassidy litigating federal civil rights and employment cases. He has dedicated his career to helping those who need it and fighting back when people are treated unfairly.

Spenser has strong ties to his family – his mother, father, brother, grandparents and great grandparents – and sees them often. He loves to play guitar with his dad, make Starbucks runs with his mom, and he never misses a chance at some of his great grandma’s carrot cake. Being a middle class family, the Benges were hit hard by the 2007 – 2009 financial crisis, so Spenser understands what it means for a family to lose a job, and he wants nothing more than to help others going through similar hardships.

On Saturdays, Spenser can usually be found watching a baseball game, from first pitch to last, and enjoying an IPA. His musical tastes range from Metallica to Tupac to Ke$ha, and he is currently nursing a fledgling vinyl record collection.

Amy E. Leitgeb

Amy the amazing assistant is just that – amazing. Amy hails from all over. Growing up in Pittsburgh sealed the deal on her lifelong devotion to both the Steelers and, to a greater degree, the Penguins. She couldn’t stay put for long, so Amy lived with her husband and two eldest sons in San Francisco California for several years before putting down roots in Indiana, where she welcomed another son to the mix. Amy has worked for lawyers most of her career, but none that she enjoys more so than the attorneys at Cleveland Lehner Cassidy.

Whether she’s answering phones, filing documents in court, or helping troubleshoot problems around the office, Amy always has a smile on her face. Her “can do” attitude serves as a vital backbone to the success of Cleveland Lehner Cassidy.
